The Future of Brain Disease

Is one of your grandparents or parents attacked by Alzheimer, Parkinson, or other neuro diseases? Scientists said that there is a big chance that your grandparents _if they still alive_ have Alzheimer disease. That’s alright, the door was opened for scientists to start treating such diseases!

Cannabis, also known as marijuana, is a promising psychopathic drug that contains over 400 chemicals. At least 65 of them are unique compounds that can’t be found in other plants, known as Cannabinoids. The two main cannabinoids are Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and cannabinol (CBD).

Biochemist Julius Axelrod won a Nobel prize in October of 2003 for the use of cannabinoids as neuroprotectants and antioxidants. Scientists observed that CBD has effects in both protecting against cell death and increasing cell viability. CBD has been proven active as a protector of brain cells. Furthermore, CPD helps stop inflammation in the brain as a result of an injury. Resulting in stopping the progress of the disease in other cases.

Although CBD is prohibited by the US. government, Scientific research is still evolving in that field with a serious attempt to find cures for different diseases including CTE, HE, and other neuro diseases.
